OMG I can't believe I drew this I'm so proud of myself, I have to be honest.

I was playing 'Jak and Daxter: The Precurser Legacy' when I had this idea. My favorite place in that game is Sentinel Beach, provided that I exterminate the local lurkers. I jumped up on one of the rocks and then zoomed the camera up close to look at Jak. The first thing I thought was "Why can't Jak look like a badass in this game too?" Then I thought, "Why doesn't he talk in this game? Usually when someone never talks to people it's because their shy and scared and hating the world...Jak is so upbeat and happy and adventurous though..." That last thought made me want to draw another side of Jak, one where he's almost depressed. I purposefully didn't want Daxter around for that reason.

And also, to satisfy myself, I made Jak look badass. I love the hair. I couldn't bare to make it stand straight up on his head like a dork, so I flipped it over to the side. It looks less firey and more loose and calm that way. Then, I put some hair hanging in his face. This gives him more of a carefree look. Last, I added the sideburns. C'mon. You know they're totally badass on him.

I didn't think my rock would look as good as it does. Or the grass. Or the sky. Or the ocean. Or the sand. OR the palm tree. I say this mainly because I have a tendancy to 'give up' on my scenery. I'll typically draw the main character/subject in the neatest way posible, then the background will be very sloppy and messy. I'm not sure what made me make this one as neat as I did. It's completely unlike me. I guess things change when you stay up til 3:30 am to draw a picture.
