Description
Lara's worst fear came true. A pocket of air escaped the sand meaning her body filled the void left behind. With the one vine now out of reach she coudl only try to save herself by grabbing a vine above her head. Her chest and right arm nwo under the sand, Lara's situation became ever more desperate as the mud crawled up her neck. All the time, the vine just out of reach.Related content

I donβt usually go for this depth for an extended time, but her expression of desperation and fear really sells it. I would save her...maybe only after her last fingernail submerges. Then I and the sand wouldβve had our fun. π

Actually you can't drown in quicksand, as the massdensity of the humanbody provides enough uplift to let everything above your hips float on top of the quicksand. The only problem is the viscosity of the quicksand which hinders your body movement. Meaning you're in for one hell of a time getting out of it, but most people can do it on their own. The stuff in wich you can atually drown, if you struggle to much is quagmire! Also your corpse looks like a pale, redhead if you die in the swamp , because the water is sour.
Sience!

Rant away! That dry sand pit didn't suck nearly as badly as the movie did. What the hell ever happened to George Lucas?

more like inter-dimensional beings
like from a parallel universe but yes. the book explains it better than the movie. and that's why the movie sucked

Ah, it seems Lara shouldn't stay there for days waiting for someone to dig her out. Her ordeal can end much sooner.
Very nice image!
