Description
Vygo and Indrys in their natural forms... if they were able to shift into said forms. In this world there were dragons and humans, but when an ice age hit their land, the dragons seeked help of the humans in order to survive. As the winter became stronger and stronger, the two races decided to hybridize into a single race, but the proccess of doing so wasn’t a smooth one, and they had to rely on magic since the two species couldn’t naturally breed. Nowadays there are no more pure humans or dragons, but these hybrid individuals.
Unfortunately, the knowledge to transform into their feral forms was lost in time...

This form seems to somewhat exacerbate their size difference. Not that it means much, I mean they're dragons. To a human being, Indrys is still an enormously powerful and dangerous opponent. Best not to threaten either of them.

Looks amazing but as a biolegist I have a problem with it. Assuming dragons are big scaly reptile like creatures, they probebly would have reptile like sexual dimorphesism, making the female far larger then the male. This is also seen in birds, who evolved from dinosaurs who evolved from reptiles. So to see a small female and a big male just weirds me out completely...

Reverse dimorphism isn't always the case in reptiles. In crocodiles, for instance, the male is significantly larger than the female.

This is true, but most dragons have heads that resemble lizards better, who almost always have bigger female or same size females, and some resemble snakes, who have far larger females. If the dragon resembles a crocodile I feel like this type of sexual dymorphasism would make more sense. Not that changes need to be made just to please me, it just feels weird.

Its like ookaookaooka said, crocodiles are just one example. It is uncommon for the female lizards to be bigger than the males. Turtles are the opposite. There are many weird, un-explainable creatures in the world. And its that strange, unpredictable side that makes it so interesting to study.

Dude, they're dragons. While dragons may resemble the different reptiles of our world, in the end they're FANTASY creatures, and can have any kind of sexual dimorphism, breeding habits, whether they give birth like mammals or not, etc.

Would I be able to use this amazing art as a character in a roleplay on {chickensmoothie.com}? Full credit would be provided.

Random thought, is Vygo shaves his beard, does the scales on his chin disappear if he could transform?

Fantastic designs.
Ps: not sure why but I just love when the pointed ears are incorporated, so rare to see the classic mammalian features of many old school dragons show up in modern times.

No nitpick this time, just a question. Someone mentioned Greek dragons (witch are very surpentine and have thair arm/wing position switched compared to traditional wyverns/ your take on dragons) and it got me thinking... what would your take on medusa be? Id love to see it!

To be honest. I thought they were Wyverns. The body led me to that conclusion. But to see they are dragons? Alright. That's cool!

Wyverns are dragons, just...read the comments, or google classic dragon legends or something. fricken Dungeons and Dragons rules influencing what people think is the "definitive" rule for dragons. Its like insisting the only true vampire is one specific movie or book's interpretation.
what qualifies as a dragon depends on region, the fiction author's personal views on that, and pretty much any reptilian hybrid creature chimera can qualify.
here is a statue of Tarasque, a dragon from Tarascon in France.

I will add just looking up paintings of St. George and the dragon you find a wide range of body types of what he is killing from six limbs, winged biped, giant lizard, snake with a crown, ect...

Oh I understand. But my opinion remains untampered. Everyone has their own individualistic ideas. So long as everyone can respect those ideals.

yeah that's cool, I raise an eyebrow at things like Peluda and Tarasque as a bit stretching even for me, and a dozen things on "How to Train your dragon"
but one of the things that makes dragons great is how diverse they can be and still have that "dragon quality" to them. Its just when someone tries to step forward and be like "this is the definitive version, everything else is just dragonkin" which in the context of THAT series, sure. But things like that end up being quoted by fans outside of that series like it was law.
-have a bit of a knee jerk reaction to it after all these years thanks to Dungeons and Dragons fans spouting off that game's rules in reference to unrelated medium. At least the wing thing isn't as bad as this one kid who watched Dragon Heart and tried to pick apart Draco because he was "the wrong color, muzzle shape, size, and abilities..." I was like...what the hell are you talking about? and he shows me a fricken monster manual...it was like...this is not a movie based on that game, its a movie about a dragon.

Yep,
funny thing is if I wanted to be nitpicky I could point out to people that the dragons they are calling Wyverns aren't most of the time because a Wyvern is described as moving bipedal, having a stinger on its tail, and can't breathe fire. The body type of these, Skyrim, Game of Thrones, Peter Jackson's version of Smaug, funny enough fall under the Jaculus. A serpent body, a pair of back legs, and a pair of wings, often with mammalian features and whose body posture is more belly crawling.

funny thing about that, the way Medusa is featured in modern fantasy *with the snake lower half* she would fit the description of a female greek dragon.
the original Gorgon, Medusa specifically, has never really been featured in movies or modern fantasy, which is a shame because it would be awesome to see a modern take on the original rather than the (Clash of the Titans) hybrid between Medusa and Lamia.

yep that's a Gorgon, tusks, snakes for hair, and golden bird wings.

I love the detailed differences, the female having less scales beneath her jaw, but more earrings...the white ring around the male's eye being slightly bigger and his teeth larger. Excellent designs.
