Description
... theres an ant crawling all over my keyboard as I typeBeen in a bit of an art funk lately, but decided to draw pretty horses anyway. All painted with the back of the paintbrush,
I did another before this but I don't like it too much, so not sure I'll upload it
I'd love crits on the style if anyone can. I know the anatomy is rather wonky so don't stress about that >_>

I tihnk that this style is lightweight and full of expression, it fairly well because as you call it wobly anatomy is disguised by fact that it is more gesture/movement drawing above anything else. ( At least in my eyes )
Drops and splatters enforces the feeling there is something going on. Plus I think that pose in which you have placed the horse reveals its temper.
Plus somehow he reminds me of Icelandic horses who are so small and cute >< I don't know why maybe because the head looks little bit shorter that it should be for more massive species.
To sum up this is really delightful piece of art

Nice
The only crit i'd give, is that the front leg, could arguably have been bent a little, to appear less rigid...even if the reference shows that it is straight.

Ahh thanks! Wavering a bit on the leg. I see what you mean, but if can eventually pull of a leg where its completely straight and really shows the tension then that would make me really happy ;D

I think with a horse, more often than not, the leg with its body weight on, will normally be the one which has the most tension....A leg in the air has no weight on it, and thus has more movement (and arguably more flex or bend)

Yes, that one is usually more straight. But they run by lifting and bending a leg, and then straightening it out as it comes down to the ground.

Oh this is crazy good
It is interesting how the lots of white space around it gives it a really nice otherwordly feel

Oh you think so? Thanks! the white space is mostly just there because I didn't feel like adding anything else >_>

I really like the dynamic in this painting and all the dots and this "dirty" look

Wow doodledoo! So colourful and splashy! I just love the way you draw horses anyway sigh
Also, using the back of the paintbrush is always fun. At college we are not allowed to use ink unless we use this method which can prove a pain if you're doing a large drawing xD
Style wise, I don't really know if I can suggest anything. It all looks gorgeous to me, especially your choice of colours.

Eee thanks wyvernnnn <333
It is rather. I just wish that I could work out a way to make longer strokes with the brush. Mine are all so short >_<

I think anatomy is really great, and the combination of colours. Can't say more about the style than that I love it. Don't know why, but my fav part obout this pic is that orange hinder leg, only outlined, without any shading.

Yep, it gives you less control than say a ink pen would
