EDIT: can anyone see the part where shwish falls through the tree? Because less than half of it seems to be showing up on this...soo after two days of working on this solid, I finally scanned it. The scanner managed to completely ignore a good couple of frames, and leave a charming black line down all the original pieces of paper, which I'm absolutely thrilled about
So, one day when I don't want to just kill the whole thing, I'll go and hunt down all those missing frames. So if its a bit choppy in places, you know why.
I felt like uploading this now though for some reason, I'll upload the final version when its well, final. In the meantime, have a teaser. And please please please let me know what you think of the textured background)
It SHOULD be 170 frames in total, but my dear scanner made it 158 fully scanned ones. And then lots of little bits of other ones,, the end of a tail here, half a cloud there, and then a ton of just plain blank images left right and center.

How do you make the background stay the same all the time if you're drawing them individually?

the background was a cheat. Its just a texture dumped ontop of all the frames of the animation.

Oh my doodles. I saw this on the day you uploaded it, and fell in looooooove. It is one of the cutest animations I have EVER seen (And it really brings out Shwish's personality :3). And I admire you for having the patience to do it! I tried to do animating once.... ¬¬
I love the way her ears go forward when she lands, it's just so fafafafafasffasfad cutttte. It's brilliant and I'm being slow at typing because I'm sat here watching it ajdawjdaw.
And yes, it all works, and pretty smooth too!

It's looking good! I just feel like the flying animation is way too fast, needs some slow down. The run cycle is really cool though

Thanks <3 The final flying animation is missing a few slides which is part of the problem. But I think that it would probably still be too fast even then. You can tell that I was getting a tired of the whole thing towards the end >.> I'll try adding some more frames if I have the time though.

This did take a long time to load, but it's really, really cool! I don't think it's too choppy. I love how happy Shwish looks. It's a fun little animation, and looks awesome.

Hooray! I know how long it takes to load, but I don't think that theres much that I can do about it. Thanks so much El. I was going just for something fun. A friend of mine told me that artists always overthing everything, so I decided just to do something fun rather than deep and meaningfull

This is amazing. Like, not only did you take the time to so almost 200 pages...you managed to scan ALL this in one sitting? That's insane.

Luckily I have a scanner that can scan a small pile of pictures. It did pretty much take all day to do anyway though. Hectic stuff i tell you.
