I got myself a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens for my birthday two months ago, and decided to try some macro on my pets...This is the inner side of an Orange-winged Amazon Parrot's (Amazona amazonica) tail. My pet parrot, Lani, was kind enough to stand still as I took the shot. She's really sweet and cooperative most of the time, except for when she decides that the camera or the ring flash look edible...
I really like the composition I could come up in here and I think this shot really shows off the amazing quality of this lens. Pairing it up with the ring flash went really well.
