Old and new picture:

Sonci Unleashed still has a connection to me because it was the first Sonic game I played, and I deeply enjoyed it! My art back then still lacked a lot, now that I look back at it. But I think it's imporant to look back occasionally in order to see what progress you've made, and personally, I found this experience very motivating and rewarding! Even if the new picture has a few things I wish I had done better than that, both versions have one thing in common - I was proud of them when the picture was done!
as you can see I made a few changes, and this is why:
I thought the picture really lacked a lot because we don't know what Amy is afraid of, and there was no shadow or anything to indicate that danger is near. Thus, I added the hands in the new version.
I didn't think that this addition would work well with a fully body picture, so I decided on a half-body approach instead.
Sonic being ready to hit the enemy seemed appropriate
The Title changes from "S-Sonic... please protect me..." to "Protecting Her". I rather wanted to underline the fact that Sonic wants to protect Amy willingly instead of Amy seeking help.

..And the other changes are basically due to the change in style, the approach how I draw, shading, all that stuff, so nothing that seems noteworthy o: Jeez, this picture was a long journey for sure :'D If you want to read more about it, please click on the thumb above!
