Description
I tried to create a character for #Sonic-FanCharacter 's Species of the Week challenge and this was the result!
This week's challenge were unicorns and I really liked the idea so I gave it a try!

I tried to give her look some horse-like features, e.g. her shoes and gloves remind of hooves and her muzzle is longer. Furthermore the front part of her muzzle has a darker color than the rest of it (just like some horses have a darker or brighter front muzzle).
The horn should be self-explanatory
Her eyes have a bright color to make her eyes look more surreal - to my mind unicorns in the Sonic world would be really rare, extraordinary and even a bit surreal as well! The same reason explains why she has also kinda extraordnary clothes!
(At least in contrast to official Sonic characters, but as all my FCs are in another dimension they have a different clothing-style in contrast to the official ones nonetheless.)

If she was in a game like Sonic Heroes she would be the Speed-type!

First I wanted to think of a back story and some traits rather roughly and shortly, but I figured that she would fit perfectly into something I'm planning for a while and therefore I gave her a bit more thought. So here is her character sheet!

Weaknesses: usually gets thirsty quite fast, especially after running fast/ a lot

Neither a weakness or strength, but an important fact: She gets into berserker mode when she sees blood

Rivals: none in particular, cf. enemies
Enemies: because of her past she learned to hate everyone who isn’t a unicorn
Known relatives: they were killed (cf. back story)

Personality: prefers to be left alone, she looks calm all the time although she gets aggressive and furious easily (she just doesn't show it, exception: berserker modus), very protective and duteous when it comes to her job and her clan, she only cares about her own (and her clan’s) interests, she acts before she thinks

Note that her muzzle is longer (a bit like a horse) and that the front part is darker than the rest of her muzzle

Other options were Chartreuse Rewind and At the Price of Oblivion , but I thought that Chrystamanthequins covers all parts of her: First her past, then her being selected as a guardian and seeming to be a calm person and finally her berserker modus.

Back Story:
Her clan of unicorns was protecting a certain object with strong powers for centuries, but in the course of time people forgot about the clan (and their hidden village) and about the protected item. The guardian of this object was the only one who possessed special powers.
One day three starngers got lost not far from this hidden village and were found by them. The unicorns had been a friendly people at that time, cared for the lost villagers and sent them back home when they were better again. But they had accidently seen the Guardian use his special powers though and misinterpreted it – they thought that all of the unicorns were so powerful (due to their horns) and were afraid of what they might be capable of. As soon as they were home again they revealed the unicorn’s hidden location and told what they had seen. The people were afraid – they recruited a small army to attack the village without compromise.
Éclair had still been very young when that happened. She had seen her family, many of her friends and even the Guardian die. Many of them didn’t even know how to fight. She has been lucky and managed to hide from the people who attacked them. Only a few others were able to survive with her. Fortunately the aggressors haven’t known about the item and its location so that it had still remained with the clan afterwards. Éclair had been selected as the new Guardian by the item itself and moved to another location with the other survivors. She has been full of life before the incident, but calm to the outside and aggressive on the inside ever since.

By the way, here is also a picture of her with her horn glowing when she uses her powers, but I didn't like it that much and therefore only submitted it to scraps.
