OMG A DIGITAL PICTURE WHAT HAPPENED O__OAnyway! Usually I don't draw pictures for the new year, but when I heard that this year is the year of the dragon... heck, I couldn't resist! I am pretty surprised that I haven't seen pictures of Terezi with a dragon yet. As a new years picture, I mean. o.o Ahh wwhatevver!
As I have drawn a lot of traditional art recently I decided that I should give digital art a try again and this was the result. At first I didn't really want to add shadows and stuff and keep it simple, but that looked so... flat! So that is the final result now o.o
Haha I honestly don't know what to think of it
Oh btw, in case it wasn't obvious - that dragon is Terezi's lusus! I used the picture in that one flash (forgot which one it was - maybe "Make her pay"?) as a reference. I can't draw dragons! Yaay!
And Terezi's outfit was supposed to be a bit of a mixture of Chinese clothing and also a bit inspired by her Redglare outfit.
..I think the only thing I really like is the lusus' background

Where to start... I really like the general idea of the picture, it's the Chinese Year of the dragon now and that literally invites to draw Terezi of course. Also I think she really suits a kimono or anything similar like that because of her general outfit. The way you drew her kimono is really nice, especially with the dragon symbol on it :3 The Dragon in the background is also really well drawn, though at first I thought it had three eyes because the staff isn't really much different from the colors than the dragon at first sight |D
But for drawing a dragon the first time ever it's really good ^^ Also the soft shade does fit him well, though you maybe could have added even more shade in general to the picture ^^ With the soft shade and the many light effects it gives the picture in general a kind of "plastic" or metal like look if you know what I mean |D Not that it is a problem, but I think you could have played with the shade even more ^^ Especially the hair seems kinda off with so much light but hardly any shade ^^"
Maybe you could have added for the background or as border around the dragon some Chinese symbols and signs so it would even more fit the idea of the Year of the dragon, but of course that is also optional ^^
All in all it's a nice picture and I can see you put a lot of effort into it, especially since you didn't draw digital art for quite a while now xD so good job on this! I hope to see some more digital art from you this year ^^ e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="38" height="15" alt="

Ahh ja, das mit dem Stab und dem Drachen... ich war beim Skizzieren natürlich so schlau und hab nicht an die Farben gedacht xD Wäre denke ich besser, wenn sie den Stab einfach andersrum halten würde!
Ich verstehe auch, was du meinst! Hmm ich versuche mal etwas zu finden, wie man das Problem lösen kann! o.o Vermutlich kommt das einfach daher, dass die Schatten so weich sind. Wie gesagt, ich versuche mal, mir da was einfallen zu lassen! Danke für den Hinweis! :3

Although, I, myself, don't see the problem with the dragon's "third eye." |DD
But, yes! The kimono fits Terezi, very well! Heheh ~ and, I never would've thought to have done a picture like this for the chinese new year... |D

Usually I don't draw these Chinese-year-thingies either. But I love dragons. And I love Terezi. So when I heard what year this was then I SIMPLY COULDN'T RESIST >o< So this is how this picture happened xD

also nochmal
ich finde das bild total hübsch
das outfit die pose und die idee und komposition sind klasse!
durch den Stab den sie hällt und den leicht nach oben versetzten hintergrund entsteht
eine Diagonale im Bild und somit eine Spannung, was echt gut ist
in Mangs gibt's sowas ja auch oft
und du könntest den Schatten verstärken, dadurch hebst du den Charakter vom hintergrund hervor.
wenn du lust hast kannst auch zusätzlich mit einem Schlagschatten arbeiten.
und mit Schattierung erschaffst du gleichzeitig noch mehr räumlichkeit
... die Idee mit Terezi und ihrem lusus zum jahr des Drachen find ich echt super

Hmm ja, an den Schatten muss man glaub ich noch etwas arbeiten. Schlagschatten? o.o Heißt das, dass ich die Schatten zu weich gezeichnet hab und auch ruhig etwas "härtere" Schatten zeichnen soll? Hoffentlich verstehst du jetzt, was ich meine...
