Powers: Malleable Alien Hybrid Physiology; Elasticity; Shapeshifting; Super Eating; High-Speed Flight via a combination of Gliding & Jet Propulsion using Bio-Energy; Vacuum & G-Force Adaptation; Inflation & Enhanced Breath; Megaton Punch & Kick; Bio-Energy Combat; Pain Suppression; Size Enhancement; Enhanced Unarmed Combat and finally can use her Bio-Energy to help augment her attacks such as building up her energy while taking in a deep breath and firing a large beam at her opponent with her Enhanced Breath or engulf her fists in her Bio-Energy that detonates upon a hard enough impact or she could throw them as Hand Blasts. Alice can build up Bio-Energy by consuming a large amount of calories, so she has a limit to the amount of energy she can throw out before she runs out.

Well that's what she would want you to believe, as her parents were actually a crime-fighting couple before they retired to better raise Alice. The mother being Cer'idwen aka Pollymer, an alien shapeshifter with added elasticity and energy-throwing powers who is considered by her collegues as one of the most kind-hearted and fun-loving heroes in their ranks; And Alice's father being Marco Verity aka The Stuntman, who while a normal human in comparison to his wife, is very athletic and likes to jump around thugs with ease as he knocks them out. Both The Stuntman and Cer'idwen were a well-known duo by other heroes before they tied the knot with a couple of heroes protecting the church during the wedding so that the two can have their marriage in peace with Lady Heroic being a good friend to the happy couple.

While the Verity Family was what one would consider an excellent example of an american nuclear family, society as a whole over the years would change to one where such "Old-Fashioned" ideals are considered inappropriate to modern society with concepts like self-improvement and meritocratic success that were once strived for are tossed aside for mindless self-indulgence and one being just handed their reward without any need to actually work for it.

And this society has had a negative impact on Alice as she grew up, especially during high school where she has to constantly disguise herself using the powers she inherited from her mother, making her look like the most plain jane, un-remarkable and frumpy girl on the planet since actual beauty and other forms of excellence is frowned upon by the teachers and other students, who were essencially indoctrinated to believe that everyone should be fully equal and dragged down to the same lowest common denominator.

Though to use a quote from George Orwell's Animal Farm, "Some people are more equal then others." As the cliques of this modern high school have been given special privledges to rise themselves above the rest of the student body due to what minority group they are in instead of having any actual merits. And Alice witnessed this first hand as she constantly saw more unfortunate students who didn't deserve the kind of hatred and dismissiveness that they recieved from their "Superiors." Even making false allegations that ruined a couple of innocent student's lives without any actual evidence for the hell of it like the nobility of old.

Even with her powers, Alice did not want to use them to make herself fit in with the cliques since she saw just how monstrous they were first-hand. She actually wanted to cut loose and give these people a piece of her mind, but she knows that she has to keep her power a secret since after Lady Heroic, now Captain Heroic, started her own regime in the city, children who have superpowers are conscripted into the "Heroic Youth Squad" and molded into a soldier who follows orders unquestioningly and has a learned hatred of those in "The Majority." Plus the Verity Family had to go into hiding and change their identities because both Cer'idwen and Marco protested against Captain Heroic's policies and were effectively put on Heroic's Black List. So Heroic won't just arrest them right away due to their history together, but if they were to stand against her again, they will be arrested and sent to prison without a trial while Alice goes under Heroic's "care."

Alice felt horrible as she originally saw Lady Heroic as someone like a cool auntie, as at home she uses her shapeshifting powers to make herself look like how Lady Heroic was once before instead of what she ended up becoming today. As even with her abilities, Alice just felt so powerless to actually do anything to make the changes she'd like to see done since Captain Heroic has eyes just about everywhere in the city looking for any dissidents.

However that all changed one day as Alice was walking home from school, there was a commotion up a couple of blocks away. So Alice ran towards the source of the noise against the current of panicking people, only for her jaw to drop when she saw her. Lady Heroic herself fighting The Contenders , a specific group of superteens from The Heroic Youth Squad. Alice was utterly confused by this, at first thinking that this was just someone who dressed like Heroic. But something about this woman just felt like that this wasn't the case. Though she did want to actually help this person in the fight, the risks far outweighed the benefits in her mind so she had to immediately run home, feeling ashamed of herself for running away.

Though after coming home and explained to her parents why she was late, her mom and dad were just as confused as she was about the appearance of this Lady Heroic. Though an hour or so after they had dinner and Alice was in her room, pondering about what she had saw today, she heard her mother calling her to come to the dining room. Though when she reached the room, she was stunned to actually see Lady Heroic sitting at the table, out of her costume and in what Alice thought was some kind of disguise. Maxine (Lady Heroic's real name) was just as shocked to see Alice since the last time she saw her, Alice was just a baby.

So with everyone present, Maxine fuly explained what was going on. In the she was taken from her time period via a portal and ended up in the present day, where she was disgusted by how both herself and the city had turned out and she's gonna need help if she's gonna try and put an end to her future self's stranglehold on the city. While Alice's Parents were more then happy to help their old friend, they had to decline because Captain Heroic was a lot more powerful then Maxine could imagine, and that they had to lay low since CH's spy network would catch them in the act. However, Maxine showed them something that would help with that issue, as she has someone on the inside who could make something of a blindspot in the network. Someone who was just as sick of CH's regime as much as they are. So she pulled out an old flip-phone and opened it, the person introducing himself in a modulated voice as "Eight."

This was the beginning of a resistence forming. One where Alice became a part of as she finally could cut loose and show just what she can do, creating her heroine persona to look similar to Lady Heroic, but with a lot of modifications to make herself more her own identity.

And the hero name she chose for herself, the name that she wants as her own that represents a part of heroism that has long been neglected in this day and age:

Kinda my response to DC's latest blunder with Mariko Tamaki's I'm Not Starfire. A book about Starfire's apparent daughter, Mandy, who looks nothing like her mother or father, is overweight, is a stereotypical goth kid, is a lesbian, and despises her mother for being who she is.

Which is wrong because Starfire & Nightwing wouldn't have raised their child in such a way so as for them to turn out like this. I mean Nightstar, Kori's and Dick's daughter from a future time period didn't turn out like this.

Now I know that Mandy isn't actually canon to the main DC universe, but still you can't help but wonder if DC will actually make her so if given the chance. I mean Mariko is going to be writting Detective Comics after this book is finished and they've been protecting Mariko relentlessly. So there's that.

Anyway I decided to mix in both Mandy Koriandr and Marvel's Kamala Khan but obviously make her a character that's actually her own being instead of just a self-insert for someone's self-insert fanfiction.

So if you guys want to have your own takes on Mandy / Kamala Khan's stories, or if you want to do something like an American take on Monkey D. Luffy from OnePiece, here you go.
