Red Rube
Real Name: Reuben Reuben
Powers: Can see spirits and feel their presence, Can use his body as a vessel for different spirits (both human and animal), gaining the abilities they had in life. However this also has the effect of giving him a bit of the spirit's personality.

Rebooted Origin
"Reuben Reuben was a young orphan who ran away from the orphanage. He hid out in an old castle, but discovered it was his ancestor's home. His ancestors still haunted the castle as ghosts, all sharing the same name as their descendant, wanted to help him.They tell him that Reuben is from a long line of spiritualists that can channel the spirits of others into themselves to help them fight against the forces of evil and help souls that have lost their way to their final destination."

Red Rube was originally just a red-haired copy of The Big Red Cheese himself, an orphan gaining super powers and an adult body by speaking a magic word. However Red Rube gained his powers from the ghosts of his ancestors. So with that little tidbit I figured that he could be a more supernatural hero, not just a magical one. And instead of just 5 spirits, he can use any spirit in the area to gain their powers.

Also he is one of the few MLJ heroes that DC and Archie comics didn't pick up, for the reason I said above.
