did you use a brush to get the texture on she skin, or something else?

no i just use the small round oils brush and paint it by hand using layers of various squiggly motions in various colors in the right places. it's all by hand with the same brush at different sizes and opacity.

You have an amazing technique and great skills. 
it really doesn't show that you don't have fun drawing latley. I guess it's the hole every artist fell in sometimes....you'll get out.
Not that i can give you any advice, but you'll find your ease and fun back, i'm sure, even if it means rashed work for now. you just have to find a pic that touches you in a deep way and i'll bet it's going to be a relaxing work again.
Anyway i really admire your work and just wanted to say a few encouraging words, 
Keep the spirit high and keep up the good work but don't rush, you have time
and we'll love the next piece you'll come up with...i'm 100% sure!
