Description
(test spray)hate mail welcome.
it's the sequel to my prized I HATE DAVEY HAVOK / ASKING FOR IT shirt. <3 love. and for the record--no, i'm not one of those angry punks that walks around calling everyone a sell out. it's just when you're in the rolling stones with your article entitled "i''ve never had a drink--not even a beer!" and bitching about ska punk, we've got beef.
credit to IVY for cutting out the stencil. <3 i have no patients for these things...

I dunno. I think Davey has always had that some what dramatic side. But I totally see what you mean. It is kind of weird how he evolved into what he is.

Personally, I love him, but I'm not here to bitch you out or anything. I'm just genuinely curious : why do you call him a sellout?
Also, "patience" not "patients."
Unless you sprayed that on the wall of a hospital.
:]

it's not the music part--the fact that their music sucks now has nothing to do with why i hate them so much. i think it lies somewhere between the fake eyelashes and parading themselves around mtv. if you read through all of their old interviews, they bitched about how kids who listened to "green day" and "the offspring" (remember--this was the 90's) had no clue. and it wasn't like one interview--it was all the time. i'm not the only one--they have a lot of old fans that feel a little betrayed whenever they see some kid with some really depressing afi shirt about slitting their wrists or something. if you listen to their first couple of CDS (answer that and stay fashionable, very proud of ya, and even shut your mouth), they were totally different people. some of it was just natural evolution, but the way they act is just... rediculous. i've seen them twice live since they realeased decemberunderground (the first cd i didn't buy by them), and they didn't really seem like they cared about the fans in front of them.
i'm like you--not here to start a fight. i just sort of want to get what i'm feeling out there.

Huh. That's funny that they were bitching about Green Day and the Offspring. Just so happens their friends with Billie and the lead singer from the Offspring, I believe, did backing vocals on Black Sails in the Sunset somewhere.

i don't know about greenday, but they were on Nitro for the first ten years of their existence, which is i think Dexter's label (if not Dexter, than Noodle--of the offspring). back before they were "a fire inside".
