The fiery shapes circled in yellow are just that - trailing flames.

The bits circled in green are part of the male figure's trench coat.

The upper bit circled in blue is more fire.

The swirly bit near the female figure's head and behind her arm is her hair.

And yes, as Bhudicae said, the tail belongs to the female figure.
