I'v been trying to participate in MerMay properlythis year but I only made it the first 2 weeks of the month with a daily drawing (kind of). Then I decided I wasn't creative enough with mermaids to make 31 distinct doodles for it and just did an illustration, like last year.If you do want to see some of the doodles, they are on my instagram @ amaranthia_draws
I don't really get many illustrations done this year, which is why I haven't really uploaded anything lately... Idk if some of you would like to see some of my doodles/sketches on here too?
If yes, then I would at least have to upload more than one thing per month.

The only thing that is a bit off are the eyes, which are way too high.
If you wanted to make her seem like an alien it looks fine, but if you aimed for humane proportions, I recommend putting them a bit lower
However, I really love the coloring! Wish I could make mine as smooth and well-blended as yours

You're right the eyes really are a bit too high up for the proportions to look human
I used SAI for painting, so it's not really my achievement that it's very smooth. With the brushes in that program it's almost harder to get clean edges than getting smooth transitions
