It happens to us all I have had work get declined and then have another upper high quality group in the same day come to me and want the same image in their gallery. Who is right? Well we all have different perceptions and there were many people who rejected the work of Mozart as well in his time. You keep being you and make what you like and if you like it then the piece is a success.

Yes that is one of things that is hard as an artist you put a lot of work in something the end result is good and it is then rejected or unseen. Story of my life really but learning to just keep moving forward regardless. It is a great image in my book friend.

You know the other thing is there really are people doing the job of editing and who really are not artists. I can't count the times I have had people come and offer an unsolicited critique and then go to there DA page and from their work it appears they have no concept of what I am doing.

Yeah, I recently asked someone's opinion on a synopsis I wrote, and she waxed poetic about the difficulties of writing and how I should never give up-the bog standard response of any "writer" who has no idea what they're talking about.

Yes and don't even get me started on the DD system on DA. I have seen ink blobs get DDs literally. So again just do what makes you happy and be your own worst critic but when you have something your finally happy with then do the and move on to the next project.

Oh, DD, well people reccomend their friends, who reccomend them. And unless you're really popular, they won't consider anyone outside of that group. I will, and I really don't expect to get faves, hits or comments, so it's a nice bonus whenn it happens.
