Description What did I think I'd find on the horizon?
Ashes to ashes, dust to dusty roads,
Flooding the edge of the city as it passes
With something the old-fashioned used to call love.

But I'm not near the buildings anymore.
I'm getting lost on backroads with my newfangled desire,
Poking at history and not missing a beat
To the life of the heartless industrial zones.
The paths cut through each other, stretching past reach,
Rolling over wise hills musty with age,
Spanning the prairies with rich colour intensity
That remind me of her eyes.

They say I'm wrong in my gravitation towards her,
They say her charm has done me in.
Even if they're right, I wouldn't mind.
Her beauty is weightless,
Her beauty is reckless,
Her beauty is sightless,
And so is my devotion.
