We've moved to a new place across the state...ane of our cats decided to chew on my scanner cable. Long story short, this has been sitting on my desk for a month :/As far as significant Nightwish songs go, Two for Tragedy has never been one of them for me. It's a beautiful, sad song...but that's about it. Romeo and Juliet was an obvious direction for the drawing...I could easily see this from the point of view of Romeo's mother upon discovering her son dead. Thus the Pieta references.
As far as significant drawings go...this particular drawing carries the distinction of having been finished in Kitee, Finland, during the Kitee International Music and Art Festival. And honestly, that's probably what it ultimately took to get TfT done. I wasn't able to find very good source images for this particular one, which always makes the final drawing more challenging. And then it was just...eh, like Scaretale. Like Planet Hell. For whatever reason, I had very little motivation to work on it.
