Quite certainly, the principle of determination, the will to overcome any obstacle to achieve your goal, is what his expression is giving off. He is looking neither frightened nor lost in wrath, as he is holding his gun and looking stern. He is also looking rather bulky with his coat and general shoulder width, making him standout as robust and durable. Also, he is quite handsome with that beard, and admittedly the scar. Of course, as a soldier it is given that you need the determination to pull through with your missions. Especially in one of the darkest chapters of history.
