24/52 #1page1week #1p1w , late again, but I have the feeling that soon everything is going to normalize.

So, this is another commission for MadDogVII , this time featuring their OCs Oskar and Adrian, sitting against an old decaying wall of an abandoned house, in the middle of nowhere. Avoiding spoilers that probably aren't very welcome, I'm only going to say that, according to the plot, despite being in a place that cannot be called very comfortable, these two still feel that it could have been worse, most likely. And they do have reasons to think so.
'At least we are together', that's what Oskar is expressing with his pose and face.

I have the feeling that he came a bit stocky, despite that I noticed this in time and did my best to fix it.  I guess, this is because of the pose?
Aaand probably the atmosphere around doesn't show the needed degree of cold and decay. Um well, doing a wall covered with mold, moss and lichen happened to be harder than I expected xP But the rotten wooden floor was very enjoyable to work on :'D

Abstracting from the 'defects' mentioned above, I must say that I like how this picture turned out. It was interesting to try drawing these guys again. I had an attempt before, seems like it was more than a year ago? And the current attempt definitely doesn't look worse than the previous x)

Hopefully you gonna like it~

Quite a cute couple, one has to say. In moments of solitude, it might usually be that one might find comfort in the arms of another without any pesky nuisances attached. What would the place matter really? It is all well. And I do like the composition here, with the place being probably an abandoned building, considering the grass and moss. It is quite well indicated, and even if I might not know the story in its full, it gives some impressions. Adrian and Oskar themselves also look very, very adorable with each other. Specifically the way Oskar is leaning on Adrian, and giving him this confident smirk, while Adrian looks content and relaxed. It is a scene that is surprisingly tranquil, which does show that happiness is mostly a matter of attitude and perspective.

I love the result in this one as much as I loved the last

Both Oskar and Adrian look great and like themselves, plus their positions say a whole lot about them too (especially Adrian's, he's just on point), and I'm quite glad you went with those for them.
And talking about those, both the positions and the perspective shocked me from the very beginning, because they're really nicely done.
As for the background, I think the wall turned out amazingly, I can see the texture in the store and the humidity, plus, not sure if just me thinking so because of the colours, or if done purposefully, but I can also see rust in the stone, which can happen depending on the minerals it has in it or around, which is yet another astonishing detail.
Last, but not least, the amazing work you did on the wooden floor. It looks old and worn out, and you can just see the wood texture like on the stone, I can't just but say that I'm really impressed at what you can manage with pencil colours, and thank you once again for your amazing work <'3

Heh, the poses happened to be easier than expected, although I haven't had enough practice in perspective Seems like the challenge taught me something still :'D I've been regularly leaving my comfort zone this year, trying things like unusual angles, light sources or surroundings, or at least more than one character if the background is supposed to be simple. And seems like many of those things now come out acceptable because they don't scare me as much as they used to. Attitude is what often impacts the work process, definitely.
I'm happy with the result picture and with the fact that I've risked to try another unusual angle x) Despite that I really wanted to do the surroundings colder originally, when abstracting from this thought and pretending that I don't know the original idea I feel very pleased. And glad that you've recognized the hint at rust actually! :'D Now I believe that the mission was succesful, as all the textures that I tried to show here went out recognizable x)

Sorry for the late reply, I tried to avoid being online today to focus on work. Will throw another sketch at you soon :'D
