Wanted to draw this pic for quite a while but it took far longer than expected, background and attacks especially. This pic takes place after the Volcano Gormiti have been freed of a curse plaguing their lands and people, so now they wish to join the rest of the tribes in a fight against any other enemies there may be. Noctina, given her prior connections with the Lords and being a princess, is chosen to act as a representative for her people
Anyways, this is when Noctina and the others first meet and they end up in a fight to the death. I imagine that the four of them were told to meet someone here while Noctina was told to wait there for someone, yet neither side was told who they were supposed to be meeting. So being as aggressive as the Volcano Tribe normally is, a sudden sound was all it took for her to shoot a blast of lava which happened to strike one of the group when they were coming round the bend. Instead of trying to talk things out, both sides instead assume the other is trying to kill them and end up fighting. Yet despite being outnumbered as well shorter and younger, Noctina actually manages to defeat all of them though thankfully the battle is stopped before anyone was seriously injured. After that, they are formally introduced to each other by their friends though neither side is eager to be the first to apologise for the misunderstanding
They do eventually get along and form a team, actually becoming one of the strongest teams yet they are still prone to internal fighting like all groups, Noctina and Alvilda especially given their tendencies to fight first ask questions later so to speak
