Wow! This was a beautiful shot even before the manipulation, which just made it all the more lovely. Most of the sky blocks actually look just like the sky out the window during some time of the day.
Definitely a !

This is awesome! Very interesting idea you had there and you executed it well! I like how you varied the sizes of the boxes... it gives the picture some vertical movement. Good job!

Very cool idea, and most excellent execution of a somewhat difficult idea.

Great choice in color, most if not all of them complement echother.

fantastic work
very interesting and eye catching. i like the idea of dividing the photo into colourful block to get way from the traditional sky picture.
my first guess about the field which remained the same colour was: middle row, second field from the right. the shades of blue look the most natural.
now after i've read your explaination to ~DarkDevi it seems like it was correct

Very nice peice. It's not the subject itself, which is an ordinary scenery, but the colored sections that really make it work. Really creative, and nice job!

amathal In reply to DarkDevi [2004-06-25 18:14:16 +0000 UTC]

...It was actually real easy to do... took like 15 mins.
Like I said, I played with the Color Balance option in Photoshop. So... the first row gets +200 red, second gets +100 red, nothing for the third one, forth gets a little of green, fifth gets +100 green.
Then the columns... first one gets +200 red, second gets +100 red, third stays the same and forth gets a bit of yellow.
