I've been really into vampire knight, it's got such a good plot and romance to it I'd recomend it if you havent seen/read it yet. also mermaid melody, Gakuen alice, and DN Angel. I always pick anime's that have good animation not old like Sailor moon or DragonBall Z
I just started to watch a show called Rosario Vampire which is pretty good so far. I try to watch ones with romance and all those that I named have anime love X3
I don't want to overwhelm you with anime but some manga's that are good are Moe Kare and Love Monster. (mature) but it's not that bad, I read them when I was 14 so...yes lol. they are really good
