Just as I previously said in the Phineas and Ferb entree, here's the piece I did for Star vs. The Forces of Evil. I used to watch this show. it was the second thing I came to after Wander over Yonder. But after the controversy with that getting canceled yer renewing Star at the same time, despite Craig McCracken's plans for a third season, I started to sense a dose of favoritism Disney gave this show. on top of that, the tone shift was a little jarring at first but it didn't ruin it for me. what did however, the shipping. After the Battle for Mewni, the only other episodes I've seen since then were Stump day, holiday spellcial and booth buddies. And due to how shipping fueled the latter was (and the kiss, while nice also felt forced) I kind of lost interest to watch the show anymore and I haven't seen any other episodes since, nor do I plan to. Nonetheless, I occasionally come back for reruns for the first season and I do at least like looking at background and fan art of the show. Β

Pretty much in a nutshell. And it was just one of the many things that contributed to the show's downfall throughout its 3rd and 4th seasons. Aside from the lack of focus in the writing/story, dragging out the boring monster racism plot that went nowhere, bastardization of most of the main characters, the worsening ship teasing to the point that's all the show became, and the notable downgraded animation. Seriously just.... why would nefcy even think cleaved would be the ideal way to end the show, it's like taking everything that once made the show great(seasons 1, 2, and battle for mewni) and burning it to a crisp until there's nothing salvageable left to it. Now the only thing Svtfoe is good for is just being a sandbox for fan fictions and nothing more.
