I can see Geppetto from Pinocchio (1940) and Widow Tweed from The Fox and the Hound (1981) being Mario and Luigi 's parents. Some people might not agree with this idea, but I think it could actually work. Think about it, guys: Don't you think Geppetto and Tweed would make a great couple? And don't forget: Mario and Luigi don't have any on-screen parents, so if you think about this idea, it could pretty much work. And since Mario and Luigi are grown-ups (they both have mustaches, after all), the age gap between them and Geppetto and Tweed would seem just right, hence the fact that Geppetto and Tweed are both elderly. Besides, I liked the idea of Mario and Luigi having a family besides them just being 2 brothers who only have each other.
