Lost wax cast sterling silver honeysuckle vine from behind my studio. After admiring the beauty of the dead vine, I thought it needed to be preserved for others to enjoy. The bale was handmade in wax to seamlessly blend into the vine and continue around the necklace wire itself.Related content

Thank you! To answer your question, neither actually. I used the lost wax casting method in which I made a plaster mold of the stem after adding the wax worked bale, then it was put in the kiln and burnt out so only the mold remained. After that all I had to do was add the molten silver and run the centrifuge. It is an exact duplicate of the stem and wax add-on.
