Description
A visual of the internal organs of a female exodrake. Exodrakes, like most Alkaverse dragons, are a mouth-bearing species, having their young be born from the mouth rather than the hips. As a result, the ribcage is designed to yield to this, not the hips. Their species sees broad chests and shoulders, and narrow hips, as feminine traits.
The bones are a greenish tint because they contain alkahest. With a little bit of alkahest, the bone becomes slightly flexible, almost like metal. When more alkahest is added, the bones become properly stretchy. The bones are made stretchy during labor to allow an easier passing of the baby. An alkahest deficiency will cause dragon bones to become brittle. In their natural environment, wyverns, dragons and some dodecapods contain alkahest and most large dragons need it in their diet for proper bone strength.
