Ok ok ik posting an edgy oc like 6 days before Christmas, what even. I’ve had this oc since like before Halloween and forgot to make a ref so uh ya

Name: Daex

Species: Wolfdog (Grey Wolf/Great Dane)

Pronouns: She/Her (Transfem)

Age: 35 (my oldest oc yet- not counting Ryu lol, for his species he’s technically younger)

Other: Aroace- Blindfold opt- tattoos opt- scars not opt

Appearance: Daex is a transfem wolfdog. She is large and light red (DO NOT CALL HER PINK) with darker spots. She has scars on her neck and the right side of her torso. She also has a skull tattoo by her left paw and a swirl tattoo on her right shoulder. Under her bandanna, she has a long scar over her right eye, and is unable to see clearly out of that eye. It appears black with a small red pupil. Her other eye has a dark red sclera with a red pupil. Her tail is shorter than most dogs, but she doesnt mind as it keeps it from catching on things, and makes it harder to grab. Her teeth are a yellowed-white, and she has red ear-insides and red paw pads.

Lore- [EDGINESS, BLOOD, AND VIOLENCE WARNINGS-] Daex snarled at the puny Shade in front of her, lunging at it. Her jaws clamped around its tail and it yelped. She bit until she knew it wouldn’t come back for more, then let go, watching it run away. “That’s the last one,” she growled, glancing at the greyhound standing a few feet away. “Inform the Alpha at once, Messenger.” The greyhound dipped his head and darted off.

A shepherd padded up to her, ear dripping with blood. “General Daex,” the shepherd woofed, lowering his tail in respect. “The attacks from the Shades are getting more frequent. Aren’t you worried?” Daex looked at the dog thoughtfully. “No. That just means those pathetic excuses for canines are getting desperate. That or they’re distracting us. From what, I wouldn’t know.”
“But..” the shepherd whimpered, “wouldn’t you worry-“
”NO,” the large wolfdog interjected. “Because I know our Pack can handle it. We are strong, and no matter what those flea-ridden shadow beasts are planning, we can defeat them. We have more to lose, and THAT makes us stronger already. Besides,” she snorted, “I haven’t survived multiple attempts on assassination to lose now.”
She gave the shepherd a rough pat on the side. “Now,” she boomed, “let’s get back to the Campsite. Get your ear treated, by the way. Don’t need that turning sour.” The dog dipped their head.
“Yes, General Daex.” Daex padded back to camp after them as they ran ahead. ‘Those Shades are planning something,’ she thought. ‘Whatever it is, I’ll be there to stop them. NOBODY messes with MY Pack.’

World Summary:
Daex lives in a world called Deepwrought, on the continent of Canidis. There are four continents in Deepwrought, each run primarily by a species. Canidis is run primarily by dogs (but there are some wolves, coyotes, and foxes), Felidia is run primarily by cats (there are some lions, leopards, and cheetahs), Eqider is run primarily by horses (there are some zebras and deer (even though deer aren’t equines)), and Avis is run primarily by birds. Canidis and Felidia are allies, and Eqider and Avis are allies. (The two groups rarely interact due to the species’ predator-prey relationship).
Shades are plaguing every land. Shades are creatures that on Canidis resemble dogs made of shadow, Felidia cats of shadow, Avis birds of shadow, and Eqider horses of shadow. They look slightly wispy, but are capable of being touched, bleeding, and dying, and they appear to have a skeleton as well. They are controlled by an unknown force, and their purpose seems to be to destroy the four main creatures of these lands. Despite what may be initially thought, Shades are sentient, if not a little stupid.
There IS technology there, but nothing like we see in our world. They have basic weapons, such as knives, swords, etc, and basic medicine as well. They are capable of making accessories (such as Daex’s blindfold (which enhances her sense of smell while it’s being worn). They are also capable of making things such as Daex’s artificial hind legs.
