I have a RedBubble!I wanted to do something that spoke to me as a design, I have always been told over and over and over that my orcs are too cute and that they need to be more macho and burly... Don't let anyone tell you you cant be pretty if you want to be! Beauty can be found anywhere, and should not be held back by stereotypes or standards set by others, anyone can be what they want to be and even orcs. Glasha, one of my main characters, is half dwarf, half orc. She's super short, very curvy, and bad-ass as heck. I always considered myself overweight and unattractive, but I want to feel good in my own skin. I always felt like an orc, but this orc wants to be pretty, tusks and all! If you are an orc and want to show up them elves with your beauty, this shirt is for you!

Glasha is most definitely a dorc.
This lady, though, is just an orc with big ears. I think the ears came from years of drawing elves.

I mean I think a lot of this boils down to the fact that orc is a pretty broad term in fiction. On one hand you have Tolkien Orcs which are basically just embodiment of supernatural evil and corruption (Which just have to be ugly monsters). Then you have the more Warcraft type Orcs which are more like a powerful tribal warrior race more akin to Star Trek 'than their Tolkiensian origins. As such they can look like pretty much anything so long as they are green and a bit on the muscly side, and then you have all the stuff in between the two like DnD, or the stuff that is way out there like Warhammer. A LOT of people have a preference for a specific interpretation of Orcs and if you know people, they tend to be a bit prickly about the things they like, and can sometimes be forceful in how they interpret those things. Personally I really love the Warcraft variant, but still have a soft spot for the original Tolkien.
Regardless I love the pic and appreciate the thought behind it! (I to have tendency to see my self as a bit Orcy, and find the notion of a handsome orc kind of encouraging!)

I absolutely adore how you draw orcs, they're always so pretty! they don't always have to look like vicious burly monsters. They can be cute AND vicious!!
