Dragons are not usually my favourite subject matter but a friend of mine has been asking me for ages to do a piece for them, so here it is. And to my surprise it turned out so much better than I expected!! Drawing the dragon itself was difficult which is why it became so small in the end result because detailing and shaping a creature that doesn't exist was a bit too much. Painting the misty landscape in watercolours was an additional challenge for me as it was style I've never attempted before. Though it was really fun to learn a new technique and I'm looking forward to trying it again with more depth. Over all I could not be any happier with how this gift turned out.
