An awesome character design sketch page commissioned from . The young and newly-knighted Simone Areus is an Ashton expat. A breath of high energy fresh air for the often-beleaguered Lustran Knights, Simone, Seed of the "KING OF THE SQUIRRELS" (yes it's in all caps and yes you have to say it like that every time (Nobody knows how she knows, or they know, that it's in all caps)) joined with her blood brother Locian Tuloc (Loc for short) and worked her way through the ranks the hard way. She idolized the Knights, having grown up through the Lustran War of Independence, and was thrilled to be placed under the command of Captain Skyver Redblade, who she affectionately just calls "Cap."

Simone joined as a monk, but is certainly a different sort. She's a pugilist at heart, fighting Southpaw style and making ample use of the special eyes granted by the KING OF THE SQUIRRELS, which allow her to read other people like open books (think of it like being able to look at other people's character sheets, and know what they're going to do in a round of combat before it starts.) She's an adamant vegetarian...since becoming a Squirrel Seed, she simply doesn't have an appetite for meat, much preferring to go to nuts for her proteins. She's also known to spend her time off lounging in trees and getting a mild high smoking Wild Rose, a habit she picked up hanging with Loc (who smokes to deal with his anxiety issues) and would later wind up enjoying with Skyver.

She's typically very happy-go-lucky, approaching even dire fights with a bad pun and a smile on her face. She always knows (and is quite vocal about) when she is statistically outmatched by a foe, but she never lets that stop her from doing her absolute best...and with her special talent, that's managed to net her a few surprise upsets in her career. Inspired by many of the bigger and tougher foes the Knights have been fighting lately, Simone determined that just going bareknuckle wasn't cutting it, so she commissioned her new steel gauntlets from the armory, with modifications she had done at the Natural Philosophers' College. The gauntlets conceal mechanisms that store a few black powder charges, which she can fire off blank to give one of her punches a bit of extra oomph, or she can load into the pile bunkers, allowing her to fire them off with enough force to crack even the toughest of hides and hardest of armors. Seen here with some nasty armor-piercers, she'd more often favor some less lethal blunt, flat tips for them.
