Author's Note: See how the plot, Marsh Silas learning to exit his shell and becoming more enlightened to the greater intricacies of the human spirit, led into the progressing the story, hunting down heretics to precede the raid on Kasr Fortis? This is what would give me the big bucks if I was being paid to write! Joking aside, I LOVE pulling stuff like that off. I know it's what you should be doing in the first place but it feels really good to accomplish your tasks like that. As well, it's a good indication of just how complicated the relationship between Marsh and Barlocke really is/can be. The lines between two friends, mentor and pupil, and superior and subordinate are beginning to cross.
