I worked on this picture yesterday, was incredibly relaxing! I drew it while listening to ♪ "Right Back" (Chillout Mix) - Yuri Kane ♫ <3It's been awhile since I made a full picture entirely for myself of my fursona so this was really, really nice. I feel rejuvenated!

I actually recorded myself drawing this so I could make a process/speedpaint video, but unfortunately partway through lining I opened a folder, and somehow the screen recording software focused on that folder instead of my drawing program. I accidentally had the program set to record "active window" :C Ugh.. regardless, I really enjoyed drawing this and I'll definitely try again to record something next time. I really miss making speedpaint videos!

The first step is to draw a lot, I guess! I've been drawing daily ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon.

Yes, it's just keep on going! Constantly draw, try to learn new things, etc. It's hard work but well worth it! Drawing is not some magical talent it is a skill that is honed with time and effort!

Disregard, I haven't been aware you changed the way you draw characters altogether. It's a change for the better! The characters look even softer and snugglier now, especially your sona.

Lots of people mentioning this reminds me that I haven't made a new ref for her in so many years now..and in none of the refs I actually have made, did I ever explain her abilities. There's a lot people don't know about her! I should work on that soon!

I love how fluid the composition is-- the placement of her ears specifically! They really lead the eye around, and they kind of make me think of eddies in a current? I don't know, it just really ties the whole piece together! Really love those two-toned shadows on your sona as well!
