Okay, so some of these have been uploaded before, but a few of them haven't, and we really need them all in one place, so...behold, all the squish dragon pictures done for me, and by ! So, going from left to right, top to bottom...*Arwaut Wentelvlerck and Nicola van Rijckevorsel - 's characters
*Sonja Alturi and Marcus di Isera - My characters!
*Alexander Grijswater and Ddraigtanto di Avalaria - 's characters
*Logan Ixeniejir and Cystal Snowflurry - 's characters
The four dragonesses in the group are all very close friends, and so we refer to them as the "quafecta"...at some point we plan to get some pictures done of the four of them doing fun or silly things together, like having a drinking contest together (which Sonja would win, due to her viking ancestry
)...oh, and I should note that the dragons here had links with each other even before they all became friends...Marcus works for Ddraig, Arwaut works for Alexander, who was originally a friend (and a rival for a bit) of Ddraig's, while Logan is Ddraig's uncle, and Cystal and Ddraig were once a couple (back when she was still male...long story)!

Well, good news, I did commission a Selena thing from ObsidianDragoness recently, but, yeah, bipedal Selena, because I stand by this, she prefers the bipedal form, but it's that thing I said about her realizing for the first time that she might actually be crushing on Andreas, and her... Not taking it well.

Perhaps we could write a short for that? I mean, an actual short; just like a few paragraphs and that's it? It could be Selena panicking, then dialing up Alexandria and Ddraig (if she's in space; if she's on Earth then she could call them over) for help, then finally her getting ready and meeting Andreas at the door, and immediately calming down once they're off together, since it was more the build-up that scared her...

Well, people will probably be able to guess from the picture for now, although...hmm, actually, it occurs to me that such a story could open with Andreas asking Selena out (hehe, perhaps it could turn out he's equally nervous, and Electra convinced him to ask Selena out), and then her musing about how they've steadily become closer...

I guess. Truth be told, I just don't want to. I want to save Vacation for something nicer than this, and I can't help but feel Into the Storm fits this story better, even though, yes: This story is set during a vacation. :S

Hmm, but Vacation was already being set for use in a sad part of Mari's Story, so it's not like it's really being wasted. And I'm sure we can still have other family vacation scenes under another label...or perhaps we should look over the list again for another potential title to use?

2. Love - Mari meets Caius at a party hosted by his parents, who are keen to see him wed.
3. Light - Depeche gets attacked by Har'Lan's goons.
4. Dark - Depeche comforts Shahida in the aftermath/ Story from Har'Lan's PoV.
5. Seeking Solace - Fylar cares for Logan after he is castrated.
6. Break Away - Mari returns to Tiber, but the two of them are caught.
*67% -little Selena/Andreas/Electra is downloading his/her first torrent, and gets caught in the act
*Abandoned - Sepa and Nathanol chapter.
*Advertisement - The di Avalaria family go to watch a play at the theater.
*All That I Have - Another story about Mari?
*Annoyance - A heavily pregnant Ddraig and Alexander have an argument.
*Are You Challenging Me? - Possible disagreement/argument between Alexander and his son/daughter Alex.
*Blood - Tiber dies in the Colosseum.
*Breaking the Rules - A night of family gaming goes awry...
*Breathe Again – Liara convinces Ddraig to gran
I just don't think we should be splitting drabble concepts in half, because then rather than steadily chipping away at the drabble list (and thus making it less daunting), we're just stretching it out even further.

Argh, I've been out of dragon writing for so long, all of it seems daunting now. >_< I guess it could be changed, but it doesn't fix the larger problem; I'd just be trying to find something to do with Into the Storm instead of Vacation.

But anyway, that's why I keep nagging about these little concepts...if you're looking at it as a whole, it's going to look insanely daunting when there are 92 left! But if you chip at it bit by bit before long it'll be down to 50 and then 25 and then it'll be done! Remember, drabbles can be short and not connected to anything; you don't need to write an epic!

I say it again: I find writing shorter fiction incredibly difficult. This is why I keep writing long novel pieces. Larger wordcounts give me more freedom to write what I want; smaller counts just end up with me having to crush stuff down.
I guess Trouble Lurking works too, though.

Hmm, I wasn't meaning that you should be crushing stuff down to fit a lower word count, just that you shouldn't feel obliged to write huge amounts. If you've got a basic concept, just write that; you don't need to write a gigantic backstory to justify it.
Let's go with that, then; properly finish off this drabble and not have a "part two" looming overhead.

Not really; that's what I'm saying, by making this part one of In The Storm rather than a completely different drabble, it's not finished, so it's 92.5 drabbles to go...92 full concepts and the .5 remaining of In The Storm. Giving it a different name brings it down to 92.
