I many not actually play 40k, but I know from what I've read on the Internet that the Dark Eldar are not to be trusted. They're entire culture is practically built on treachery, along with torture, enslaving, and piracy.

Severan wants to turn away from the Imperium, and hired the Dark Eldar to collect a number of people on his worlds to get them riled up, as he blamed the Imperium for increased taxes and all. Long story short, he managed to use the DE as an excuse to break away, but now the Dark Eldar are, of course, getting more greedy for "payment".

Doing business with the Dark Eldar is a very, VERY bad idea regardless of who you are. I mean, if you work with Chaos there is at lease a chance of you becoming a Daemon Prince or War Master. But theΒ Dark Eldar? You will be very, very lucky if they decides to kill you after a few days of torture upon deciding that you have outlived your usefulness. Β Β Β

hehe well, again Β I guess it all comes down to purpose and intentions. I'm not sure of how accurate I am, but I thought that rouge traders are contracted by the high lords of Terra themselves in order to create, expand and explore potential relations that would ultimately open for any form of conquest for humanity's benefit. If that's true, a rouge trader would be in a lot of danger from disobedient Inquisitors without any other authoritative supervision, but I think an inquisitor, especially those who have no seat in the Terran high lord's council would have more integral things to do than debate the matter over especially if the rouge trader's operations is known and supervised by high authorities based in Terra.
