Note: As the year comes to an end I just wanted to tell you. The year 2005 began with me in a wheelchair after a serious second relapse in my quite serious and immobilizing illness. The illness is so complex that I still cannot even pronounce its name! And yet, the year ended with me walking once again after, among many other things, very intense (24 hour) and very painful daily physical therapy. 2006 is the year in which, against many serious medical predictions, I will walk again fully. I will let you know next December for this has been and will continue to be a LONG ride. The story is too long to tell; half of it you would not even believe I can assure you. I have learned much. Perhaps I will write a book on it for the sake of others who have fallen seriously ill in their lives. For many of the ill, I have been a witness, are truly among the dispossessed and disempowered. But one thing I can say for sure. I COULD NOT HAVE DONE it without many deviants -----many unknowingly---- who gave me strength, help, care, motivation and love to recover during these months. Your beautiful and inspiring presence allowed me to disregard the intense ugliness of others who have, now, forever been lost to me. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. And when I walk again fully, I will visit you personally to embrace you; that is, if you accept me in your homes. But until then, I will continue to need your help, and support. Have a Happy New Year.
