Original size is like 18x22 or whatever big thing they sell at Blick.

So we were doing portriature in Painting.
And who could be the better candidate.

So my first attempt at acrylic Portriature. Acrylic is nice in that you can layer stuff on it and it doesn't drip unless you want it to. But we're using student grade Blick cheap stuff with plastic brushes so it dries in literally a minute, like I had to mix the skin probably thirty different times because it just became a hard lump every time I came back to it, and then when it started to get dry I was like "noOOOOOoo don't die on meee".

And also I discovered my greatest pet peeve was people not washing brushes. I would have this really nice clean brush that was great for making his skin stuff and then the next day I would discover that some player just dunked it in a wad of black paint and it was now hard enough to stab someone with.

I have a love-hate relationship with detailing. It looks nice but I can't do it.

wait that's basically what I draw vs what I see in my head.

I messed up a lot of things, like the nose, well actually the eye placement, but I guess I'll just catalogue this into a hard lesson learned.
