Description The title's not that original and neither is the idea really. I am positive a very similar shot, relating to "forbidden fruits" will have been done by someone else before, and probably much better - but I don't care.

I must first work on being GOOD at photography before I start being original. Hahaha.

Comments appreciated as always!

Edit: I have softened the image, as the sharp quality of the original (though beautiful and crystal clear) didn't really fit for this deviation IMO. And, as suggested by ~tikira and ~jcer , I have made the lips more red (they were previously pinker).

colour selection is the best thing since sliced bread... which now that i think about it; isn't that good unless its thickly sliced! but this is good, it makes you focus on the lips and apple. good work!

lol i actually was lookin at this in the middle of geography at school and my teacher walked past me (shes a champ) and stopped and i was like oh shit im fucked now, but then she goes "yummy! except she needs to shave her forearms" and then kept walking... HAHA that was the randomest shit i've ever heard, but at least she liked it i do too, the gray works really well with the green/pink! (and yeh i agree redder would be better) .. it makes me wanna kiss you... but i just remembered, i can do that anytime! kiss: what a lucky guy i am

Are you mad?! Green apples are the ONLY apples as far as I'm concerned! Those red wannabees are too soft and sweet. I can't stand red apples. I like my apples crunchy and with a tiny hint of a sour edge. Oh and juicy and fresh! Yummm!

I can make my lips redder if you really think I should. I guess it would be cool, since red and green are opposite on the colour wheel (I think)...

You actually ended up with a very nice submission here, whether it's original or not. The "Forbidden Fruit" concept really comes through in this...the grayscale with only the apple and mouth in color...nice edit. And the mouth and tongue (!!!) certainly give it just the right sensual, seductive look....true temptation.

Nice job!

Get good...but always TRY for original.

Wow thanks, that was a really great comment.

Glad you like my tongue hahahaahh! Always good to know my anatomy is appreciated. LOL!

I shall certainly strive to be original. I often find out, too late, that my idea has already been a done a million times before. *sigh* I'm new to art in the visual form. Most of my life (so far; I'm only 16) has been dedicated to performing arts and the art of literature. I can tell an 'original' or 'cliched' story plot line a mile off, but I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to photography.

Thanks for stopping by. I really enjoy getting honest feedback

Oh, and anatomy is a beautiful subject...for science and for art! I appreciate beauty.

You know, every single one of us "sees" an idea differently. So what you conceptualize for an idea and execute will be different and have a different feel to oit than what someone else has done or will do. In that sense, even work you do that "has been done before" is original. Comparison: songs recorded by one artist being covered by another. It's original in that the covering band gives the song a different "voice"...just as you do when you produce a piece of art (literary, performing or visual) that is similar in concept to existing pieces.

So, somewhat retracting my earlier comment, don't get wrapped up in whether something has been done before. Do your work, it will be an ORIGINAL spin on the idea...a better spin, even, perhaps.

OK, I'm off my soap box now...for now! lol
