Haha, I have no idea what category to put this in.. But, it's kinda artisan's crafts!So, here's my Easter surprise! Hard boiled eggs painted to look like the eggs from the manga/anime Shugo Chara! These were done last year, and I saved the pictures for this year's Easter. These pics are slightly edited, so if you see some blurred sections, it's my futile attempt to fix mistakes! These are all the eggs I painted, and I'll put up a few other pictures of certain groups of these eggs.
I've only seen about half of the anime's episodes, so please don't spoil anything for me! Edit: I'm all caught up, please discuss as much as you wish! Please comment and fav!

Well they're actually hard-boiled eggs that I painted, so I don't think you would want to carry that around with you... But you could try plastic easter eggs or wooden eggs!
Hmmmm, never thought about making a tutorial! I didn't really have a specific method when I made them, just sorta painted them. (Though I used sharpie for the black parts) Sorry, hope your cosplay turns out great!

i tryed doing them with the wooden ones from michales
and they are really hard to paint!

Ah, I used real hard-boiled eggs instead of wooden ones, so we had very different problems to face! Hmm, I would think that those eggs would be easy to paint... But I've never used them, so that sucks that you had difficulty with them. Thank you so much, I worked hard, so it's nice to hear!

you could use those wooden eggs they have at arts and crafts store. thats how i did for mines.

its ok mishaps happen. but using real food doesn't do much good haha. but you did a test and you did a good job on it. you could always try to get plastic eggs that open and paint them and put the little chara's inside. idk how they would work on plastic. i tried but its hard, but keep going and you will do awesome ^^.

Well it wasn't a mishap, I intentionally used hard-boiled eggs because it was Easter. I wanted to have some fun with easter eggs one year, and it got a bit out of hand... (Ah, perfectionism, a cruel mistress) But if I ever wanted to do another more permanent version, then wooden eggs sound perfect.

the only mishap is that the egg turned into Xeggs. that is a good idea to do for the holidays ^^ i have to say that it really was a brilliant idea. nah i would have done the same if i was making something cause i get carried away when making perfect or too much haha.

i would totally do it on Easter and also great idea for the kids. i just realizes this Easter (holiday) Easter (the company name from shugo chara) how ironic is that ^^. now im excited for the permanent and the temporary. but then i would be like >.> hope no chara's are inside those eggs haha.
