The Blue Wariths were (are?) the successors to the Prophet immediately after the fall of the Gold Wariths. Mystical and far-seeing, they absorbed much of the lore of the Arsxascids and disdained the mechanical work of their successors and predecessors both. Unfortunately, a mystical understanding of the world did not preclude greed, and it cultivated a disdain for such trivial matters as disease and famine. The Mutaliids of the modern Black Warithate rose against the Abdaliids and drove them from their homes, and now the last of them rules a much-shrunken Warithate at the far ends of the Earth, and his followers are scattered about the rest of the House of Song.

No one has seen the Blue Warith in seventy years. According to his Viziers, he is in occultation; but he would now be nearly a hundred-and-thirty years old.
