Description
This is my idea for the Twilight/Rainbow Dash pairing in my Next Generation of MLP taking place after the events of the show. Please note there are a lot of my head-canons and some of my personal ships/preferred ships. Please be respectful of my opinions .

TwiDash is my canon MLP OTP (CMLPOTP XD) So naturally they are together in my Next Gen 'verse~. This is my first time drawing both of them together- I mean the first time I drew them both together where they actually looked like themselves and were fully colored.

I pondered which direction I was going to go- draw them just cuddling or drawing them when Rainbow was preggo with their first foal.

Of course, perhaps it is the early stage of Rainbow's pregnancy and the 'They'll Catch On Anyway' refers to the rest of the mane six learning about it

I suppose it is open to interpretation. Infact I kind of like the Rainbow being a few weeks or a month pregnant idea better... Hmm.

ANYWAY, I had severe TwiDash feels and had to draw them. Of course then I felt the need to do some more Next Gen stuff. Perhaps later I'll draw them with their foals, or at least sketch some poses out. For now I have this, and some writing to share.

In my Next Gen 'verse, Twilight and Rainbow Dash's courtship did not begin until Twilight became an Alicorn. Back when she was still unable to control her wings, she'd get flustered around Rainbow Dash and while she maintained her composure, her wings did not. Rainbow Dash, who had been attracted to the egghead since the beginning, noticed the signs and decided to test her limits. This led to some long overdue confessions, explanations, and finally the beginning of a beautiful romance.

Of course, realizing their true feelings is one thing. Telling their friends of this interesting development was another. Rainbow Dash, surprisingly enough, was the one who was most worried. She had not quite thought things through when she decided to flirt with Twilight and pursue her. While Twilight had mini panic attacks, the more time the two spent together and explored their new relationship, the more she felt certain that Rainbow Dash was the only one she'd ever love.

Though Rainbow threw a wrench into things a few times, out of the uncertainty and doubt that clouded her mind each time the two were almost caught sitting a little too close or gazing one another for too long. Their love was being tested by their willingness to hold on, and Rainbow Dash sometimes seemed to slip.

But Twilight, the both level-headed and eccentric alicorn, reassured her marefriend and told her not to worry.

In this moment, you are all that matters to me.
And I'll keep this memory forever, to replay in my dreams.
So just stay with me...

(Unbeknownst to Rainbow, Twilight had spent hours researching how to be romantic AND comforting in preparation for that moment.)

It worked and Rainbow was able to let go of some of the anxiety! Of course later that same night they found that the other mares had known all along because they caught the lovebirds smooching. Well, to be accurate, Pinkie saw them kissing through the Library window while testing out a balloon suit that would allow her to fly without the use of a hot air balloon. And of course Pinkie blabbed to the other girls, because no one made her do a Pinkie Promise.

They didn't say anything to Twi' and Rainbow because they wanted them to tell them on their own time when they were ready.
