The eye of Godzilla 2014 from the upcoming film.really wanted to do G2014 in Photoshop, but since as a starter I decided to just do an eye first and then a full head.
Why is he Purple? idk he was purplish in the Brazilian poster so I decided to make him purple here too.
and he also had a X pupil as well.
Time: about 1 week.

Your work with the lighting is pretty good! The "X" would certainly be an interesting change of pace if that really is what they are doing. I'd feel like they would need to make the X a little more flattened like "><" (or rotate the ><) to look a little more like an upgraded version of of the more traditional "l" eyes.

Godzilla's pupil isn't going to look like an "X", it's a normal "●" shaped pupil.

very nice. and to answer the comments below if you zoom in on some of the earlier posters for the movie you can see that godzilla has an x shaped pupil, the reason possibly being that godzilla is a deepwater creature he would have similar eye structure to large squid that inhabit deep trenches.
