Im a big fan of mario and GTA ^^, i've been thinking what will happen if this game merge together. Then i decided to create a quick sketch concept of Mario, Luigi and Peach. Im planning to make this as my next project, mario in GTA style lol. but the villain kinda make me struggle a little bit, its not easy to turn Bowser and goomba to human, dammitwhatever, so please comments and let me know what you think

Bowser could be a fat cuban drug lord or a biker mod with his clothes being the same colour pallete as Bowser. Maybe spikes on his jacket? idk.

They are well portrayed even for a concept sketch, the finish article will be mind-blowing for sure!
Is that floating cash in the background btw? I bet it's awesome to use it in the foreground too
I always imagine Bowser (ironically) in an Italian suit with Rayban sunglasses, wore a bit loose and you can see his evil reptile eyes from the top. (yup, he hides his eyes like Albert Wesker)
To humanized him, I supposed an uber buff 'tanker' physique. He has that distinctive orange patch of hair too.

It would be cool if some of the cash is half burning in a symbolical way, just a thought
Yup, I did however wanted to follow up my Mario art with the 'Mario villain art', but Bowser (I prefer 'King Koopa') in human form must be portrayed correctly, and it's tricky especially in realism. Hope you can draw it first as I need inspiration on that lol

I think it's the action he does in the art that will define him and create the 'wow factor'. I had an idea that I don't think it will ever be drawn: it's Bowser in a mafia atmosphere playing a violin in a dim luxurious study room with light showers on him, with dramatic camera angle as well.
Sometimes we want to see more depth, class and sophistication in our villain
Hope this idea inspires you that there are more complex way to portray Bowser than just posing in a badass demeanor, which I see A LOT of arts out there but the effect doesn't stay long in the viewer's mind. 
It's like, "hell yeah he's a badass baddie!!!! Woah epic mang!!! Awesome painting!!!......................okay......"
