This is quite an image. It feels complete to me, and I enjoyed the assonance in the English version. I'm sure if I knew some German, that version would sound even more impressive.

I like the sound of the German version better (as far as my little understanding of German can take me). I like the way the words pour down, a nice touch.

Yeah, I like the sound of the German better too. The consonants produce a softer effect, plus there's a nice little off-rhyme with "Duft" and "Brust."
I managed to get plenty of "s" sounds in the English to at least duplicate some of the assonance, but it doesn't work as well.
