Description
"Boarcroc" (B/W)Kaprosuchus saharicus, generic hypsilophodontid. A drawing I did while babysitting my brother while my dad was sitting for an interview in California. Psychiatrists are really in demand these days
Not much is known about this croc's body except estimates of its size based on its head would put within the range of a large saltwater croc (crocodylus porosus). What makes this baby interesting is that it has unusually good binocular vision compared to modern crocs and its head is adorned with a pair of horns over its ears and eyes, and not to mention this bony growth on its snout and protruding fang-like teeth, making it looks like a warthog/wild-boar (hence its name). Some people think it may have been more of a land based predator than other crocs but still retaining its semi aquatic ambush capabilities. In other words, it may have had some pretty substantial legs
So this gave me the liberty to give it some monstrous legs reminiscent of its long gone crurotarsan relatives, the rauisuchia, such as postosuchus [link] , or something akin to Pristichampsus, a terrestrial croc with hoof-like toes. I just tried to make its legs looks like a freshie's legs on steroids.
I might have a thing for crocodilians and their long extinct crurotarsan relatives;
After this, I might color my Callie Maggotbone piece

Heads up croc nerds: For those who don't already know, the definition of Curotarsi - which is Parasuchia (phytosaurs), Ornithosuchidae, Suchia and their common ancestor - was recently changed to include all archeosaurs - including dinosaurs - due to phytosaurs being excised from the archeosaur lineage. So what was traditionally Curotarsi is now called Pseudosuchia, which is what it was originally called to begin with.

Wow. This has got to be one of my fav restorations of one of my fav crocs! I just find the legs of the hypsilophodontid to look rather odd.
