"Shark Week 2017 sketches"Isurus oxyrinchus, Carcharodon carcharias, Lamna ditropis, Galeocerdo cuvier. Some sketches I did for Shark Week 2017.
I didn't get to do a shark sketch a day I wanted to because my anatomy and physiology final happened the same week. The shortfin mako was inspired by a great photo that can be found in the August issue of National Geographic. It was a funny coincidence that International Tiger Day fell on that same Saturday, so I sketched a tiger shark to honor that day. The salmon shark proved a challenge in trying to not make it look too much like a great white shark. The great was the first and proved to be the easiest to draw, probably thanks to my familiarity with the species.
Completed in late July.
