Description
"Final Moment"Sarcosuchus imperator, Mawsonia gigas. An acrylic painting of an immature Mawsonia that is about to get snapped up in the jaws of a hunting Sarcosuchus. I did this on my birthday to pass the time before and after acting class.
This was namely inspired by the little Kaiyodo coelacanth figurine I have on my desk. It looked great and I got the idea of using it in a painting.
Completed on the 26th of February 2015.
Done using acrylics and color pencils.

Very nice. I like how you paid attention to the shape of Mawsonia fins and the front of the Sarcosuchus jaws, helps distinguish them from a modern day pair.

I like how you conveyed the murk but since you asked for a critique I would offer that you should add a third element for scale to let the uninformed viewer know how big the players are. Some might just assume Mawsonia is a couple feet long and the croc comparable to present day ones.
