Ever heard of Animal Farm by George Orwell? Otherwise this won't make any sense :')
So basically farm animals overthrow the humans and the pigs rise to power. Napoleon and Snowball disagree, and eventaully Napoleon trains dogs that attack Snowball and run him out of the farm, then claims Snowball betrayed them by destroying the windmill they worked to build. The main type of propaganda here (because I needed propaganda, this was for a school project) is pinpointing an enemy, however, gaslighting also works to erase Snowball's heroic deeds in the past. The color symbolism (had to have that, too) is red and black for an appearance of danger and fear.
If you've read Animal Farm, you may pick up on the fact that "Traitor" is written in the white paint that was used to paint, and also change, the Seven Commandments. It represents words the animals all trust, but are wrong.
