I liked coloring the hair too! Espeacially with anime charcters since they all have crazy hair colors.

In Photoshop, I made the Lineart page transparent and the made the background grey. The I made a new layer and put netrual (plain) colors. Then I selected the netrual color in both paint spots and made one extremely dark and extremely light, giving it a nice contrast. Then I use the Polygonal Layso tool, set it to 0 feather and Anti-alise off.
I made very pointy areas, like this-> ^^^^

And filled them in with the dark color. Then in any gabs of plain color left I redid somw pointy areas and filled then in with the lighter color. Finally I used the Smudge tool and the Blur tool to make them feel apart of the same thing.
