Thank you so much for your kind words!! It took forever - the background is several layers of acrylic and mixed media (strips of newspaper) then the whale itself took two sessions! So probably like 5 hours painting in total!! Glad you like it

I absolutely love how abstract it is, however, from a distance you can see it clearly and it really looks like the distortion of the sea water and a looming subject in a whole different world. You captured the water so perfectly!
